Six Disciplines Assessment Results Analysis

Thank you for taking Roeder Consulting's Six Disciplines Assessment. The assessment and its results are intended to help direct deep thought about your personal style when working in teams in a constructive, objective manner. Your results will clarify which of the six essential disciplines for project and change managers are your strengths, as well as which areas can be targeted for personal and professional growth. To get the most out of this assessment, contact Roeder Consulting today to schedule a conversation about your results and any questions you might have.

Your results were calculated by considering three facets of each skill:

• Understanding
• Willingness
• Ability

First, your Understanding of each of the Six Discplines was measured. Your Understanding was determined by how familiar you reported you are with the skill, and if you believe that the skill is important and worthwhile to practice. The next step to mastering a Discipline was defined by your Willingness to implement the skill in your personal and professional life. Participants that reported having a high interest in this skill and reported regularly practicing it gained more points in the Willingness category. The third and final facet for full mastery of any given Discipline was your Ability to use it. Ability to successfully deploy the Discipline was determined if you agreed with statements that described appropriate and effective use. A strong Understanding is the groundwork upon which a Willingness to grow can be fostered, and an Ability to succeed can be built.

Each of the Six Disciplines are trainable skills. With time, practice, and dedication, anyone can improve their scores. Working toward increasing your own Understanding, Willingness, and Ability in each of the Disciplines is a direct investment in your ability to succeed in projects and changes.

It's normal for any journey of professional development to feel daunting at first. It helps to know where to start to actively improve your skills. Listed below are several strategies to use in your work or personal life to intentionally practice and reflect upon the Six Disciplines.
